It was myself and Lu Ann. Nobody else showed up. Some I knew weren’t going to make it (and I was made coordinator on 9/7 as a result). Unfortunately nobody remaining who was expected to make it contacted me or the Croo Hikers to indicate they changed their mind. As such, Lu Ann and I didn’t need to wait in the Appalachia lot for 45 minutes. That was a drag.
The hike was awesome. We went via Airline to Short Line to Randolph Path back on Short Line through King Ravine (passing the cool cave loops to make it on time). From there it was Gulfside to the Adams Loop to the summit. The weather was quite nice, albeit very windy. Made summit on time, left the flag in place for two hours, removed it, then made our exit (stopping at the hut for a few minutes). On exit we took Airline all the way.
Great day for a hike, and a great day to honor the victims and heroes of 9/11. I was proud to participate.
