I wanted to alert everyone that the Boy Scouts will be holding a signalling event at the same time as FOT48. The event is called Operation On-Target and you can read more about it here: http://www.nhscouting.org/event/1368136
The summary is that they will be using mirrors to “signal” each other on the peaks. Please don’t be surprised to see the Scouts gathered at the peaks. They have been made aware of the FOT48 memorial taking place at the same time, and are encouraged to participate in that as well. (You’ll notice quite a few Troop #’s in the peaks list).
I’ve spoken with the organizers and asked them to remind the Scouts to be respectful of those around them as they do their exercise. Please be gracious to our youth on the peaks. 🙂
