Hello FOT48 Team Monroe!,
We plan to meet at the Ammonoosuc trail parking lot to meet and distribute the pieces for the flag pole/rope etc starting at 6:30 am this Saturday and depart after that.
I know that is mighty early, but several of us are part of the hut night hike that night staying at Lakes of the Clouds just below Monroe and that group is departing around 8:30 am. Those leaders suggested that we leave no later than 7 so we don’t end up bumping into that group, they have between 40 and 50.
We plan to drop our packs at LOC and head up to Monroe from there, set up the flag and hang and have lunch from 12-2.
The forecast is a bit mixed, but t looks like a chance of rain but definitely cold. I will say after being out between Galehead and the Bonds this past weekend, I def needed my fleece layers and hat at points.

If traveling North from AMC Highland Center (Rt 302).
Take 302 North approximately 4 mi to Base Station road (right). Continue on Base Station road approximately 6 mi to the parking lot (right).

If traveling East from Twin Mountain(junction of Rt 3 and Rt 302):
Take 302 East approximately 4 mi to Base Station road (left). Continue on Base Station road approximately 6 mi to the parking lot (right).
