Good evening.
We will be meeting at the Lincoln Woods Trailhead parking lot Sunday morning between 0630 and 0645. We need to be on the trail by 0700. We are from the SW corner of the state, but will be spending the night in Thornton for the early leave; there are three in my immediate party. We will be following the Lincoln Woods Trail to the Black Pond Trail. We will meet up with Doug (Lorax) at Black Pond by 0900. Doug is spending Saturday night at Black Pond, and will have 35′ of flag pole and a large flag to poke through the tree cover on the top of Owl’s Head. We should arrive at the peak by 11ish, leaving us time to construct the flag pole and fly the flag from 1200-1400. I would assume the same course on the way down; shaves a couple miles off the trip.
