7a.m. at Starr King Trailhead on Rt 2 to divvy up poles and paracord. We have a full set up and you are welcome to bring/share anything of sentimental value to you to include. I bring my Grandfather’s flag.
BYO ten essentials and then some. It’s a long day, don’t forget to pack a picnic lunch. This is a rain or shine memorial event, our flag will fly from 12-2 regardless of weather. Bring what you need to enjoy the day safely.
This is a beginner trail, with a gentle grade, but likely to be wet. We do not hike fast, and we stick together.
If you are rehabbing an injury, or always wanted to do this event but were not sure about your ability, come along.
If you need a ride, please reach out so we can try to coordinate one for you.
If you wish to camp out the night before, we will have a dispersed site on a forest road, to be determined.
