The plan is to meet at the Appalachia parking lot at 7:15am and plan on heading up the Airline Trail around 7:30. The trail is 4.3 miles to the summit with 4500 vertical feet of elevation gain. It is a rugged, but very scenic trail. We have a flag, pole, and everything needed to hoist starting at Noon. We do need some help carrying everything up. All we need is good weather and a little wind (but not too much wind)
The weather is looking great for the hike. It will be cold though (mid 30’s on the summit), so please make sure you bring a good jacket, hat, and gloves. We will be hanging out on the summit for 2 hours.
I will be parked at Appalachia in a black grand jeep Cherokee with Mass plates. I will also be easily recognized because I will be the only one wearing a Yankee cap.
