I’ve kept in pretty good touch with SilentCal over these last few months despite Sarah and I moving out here to Boulder, CO. We couldn’t sit idle knowing what you folks had going on back East. So… we carried our flag to the top of Bear Peak in the Boulder Mountain Park here in the Flat Irons of Boulder, CO. We hiked to an elevation of 8,461′ and rose our flag at 10am to coincide with time differences. We flew our flag until 12:45pm local time. (12-2:45 EDT).
Next year we hope to welcome the beginning of a sister event to FOT48 here in Colorado. We plan to call it Flags on the Front Range. From Colorado’s Border with Wyoming to the North and New Mexico to the south, we hope to raise flags on various peaks all along the Front Range within sight of some 3 million people.
