      There will be more people available for trips to the mountains. More to participate.

      I think a September 11 Memorial should be left for New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania.

      There have been many setbacks in our nation, Showing strength is always done on July 4th.

        Hiking on July 4th (or the weekend of the 4th) is a good suggestion BillyGoat, however many people may already have plans and will not be available. Maybe in years to come, if the event is successful, the date could be switched to the 4th to commemerate not only 9/11 but the American spirit as well.
