      Hi All,

As we drove north the excitement grew. We could see the summits of many of the mountains, no clouds, just outstanding views. :flag:
We meet in the parking lot at Edmunds Path at 8:00 and the crew was hiking in 3 small groups by 8:30. The parking lot was full when we hit the trail. The flag and pole crew lead the way and summited by 11:10. The support crew members arrived before 12:00. The views were incredible as we climbed, the trail was FULL of hikers and dogs. The flag crew had a problem with a pole snapping and had to go with half a pole set up. Fortunately the flag look beautiful. As we assembled and raised the flag, hikers kept coming. I have never seen so many people on one mountain! Many were there to take part in the Flags, many more were hiking the peaks on this beautiful day. At 12:15, we had a quiet ceremony remembering the victims of 9/11. Different people were given the opportunity to speak. Everyone was very respectful as we did a moment of silence. It was a beautiful moment in our hiking community. Many hikers took pictures after the ceremony, then continued on their hike. People continued to visit Eisenhower all afternoon. The flag was taken down at 2:00 and the crew headed to the parking lot for a good time tailgating.
A great day had by all. Thank you to all the organizers and hikers. :flag:

Greet to meet you. Loved your poles. Tell me about them.
