I guess I’m a little slow out of the blocks, but we’re bringing about 20 boy scouts and adult leaders, so tag along if you don’t mind raucous noise and bathroom humor. If you’d like a peaceful hike – we’ll see you at the top!
Our plan is to leave the Mt. Flume Visitor Center at 8:00 am and go north on the bike path to the AT junction and follow the Liberty Spring Trail. We’ll take a rest and water break at the Liberty Spring Tentsite, then make a sharp right turn on the Franconia Ridge Trail, continuing to the summit. We’ll follow the same trails down to conserve on time. An up and down; simple and we’ll minimize the chance of anyone getting lost. We’ll stop again at the tent campsite on the way down to fill up on water, then be on our way. Should be down by 6 (Har, Har).
