Saxman and I left Zealand parking lot at about 7:15 and returned right about 6PM. As I expect is being reported by all participants, it was cool, breezy, damp and dark! “It’s going to clear around noon!” became the trail joke to anyone we met along the way, on the summit or on the way down. Flag flew from noon until two with many people stopping by to say ‘hello’ and pay their respect to the flag. Monty and Shag (the dogs) provided good company the whole day. Thanks to folks who helped with setup, take down and especially folding the flag in the strong wind.
Also, a thanks to KB1EHI who arrived late to the parking lot but followed us up to the summit anyway on a bad ankle and then had to descend slowly too.
