What an awesome day. Weather was cool but not bad on the protected summit.
A great group of hikers, several are veterans, made the trek up North Twin Trail and we stood 2 flags. One, the summit flag, was flown over Ft. McHenry in Baltimore. The other, at the outlook, was flown over the embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.
We were able to see several other peak flags with the naked eye and to see the helicopter flyby was a treat.
A number of hikers passing through asked questions about the event and nearly all thanked us for bringing the flags up.
