The Peak Coordinator from South Carter has had an injury that will prevent her from participating this weekend, can anyone step in and take charge on this peak? We need someone ASAP!

      Thanks,
      Chris

You should post this over on the other hiking websites as well.

I posted on VFTT, but need to get offline now before my boss kills me. 🙂

I am glad to accept the mission of taking the flag to South Carter. I do have a flag from my school, but since I was not originally planning to hoist a flag, I’ll need some help with a “pole structure”. Looking at the gallery photos of South Carter last year, I don’t think I’ll be able to compete with their spectacular propping and hoisting of the flag over trees. (How’d they do that?)If anyone can offer some help, I would appreciate it so much. I will be at KOA Friday night – with Ruby, my lab – but probably won’t arrive until 9:00-ish.

Mari – Pilgrim from over on VFTT had agreed to take over but I’m sure would appreciate some help. Perhaps you could coordinate?

Howdy, pilgrim here. I’ve been PMing with MichaelJ at VFTT and agreed to fly the flag on S. Carter. I have a flag and a plan to acquire a pole tomorrow.

MARI: I see that you also have a flag and are willing to take care of S. Carter. We can coordinate our efforts in any way you please. My plan is to head up 19 Mile Brook no later than 8AM. PM me or post here.

Hmmm must’ve been another Pilgim, last time I was on Hale was ’03.

This is my first time participating in Flags on the 48, and I’m looking forward to it. :flag:

                                Thanks Pilgrim & MARI….

It is great to see people step up…esp. at the last minute.

                                Peace.
