Meet: Hancock Overlook off the Kancamagus Highway, take exit 32 of 93 and head towards Kanc through Lincoln. Overlook is up Knc past hair-pin curve and has no fee to park
When: September 8, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. ; Depart overlook at 8 a.m. sharp. Meet under overhang at the overlook.
Expected Peak Arrival: 10:30 am to 11 am, but will depend on group pace
Trail: Hancock Notch Trail to Cedar Brook Trail to Hancock Loop, we will ascend to the South Peak
Water Hazards: There are water crossings, which can be bypassed in high water but are normally easy to moderate to cross over
Overall: The walk to the start of the final ascent is a easy to moderate trail, the final climb half-mile ascent is steep. Expect normal roots and rocks on trails and possible mud / slick rocks depending on weather conditions.
Descent: Over to North and back down is plan
Total miles is 9 ½ – 10 miles for a full loop
Flag Location: Just over peak is an overlook, the flag will be positioned in that area. This offers attendees the opportunity for a view (depending on weather) and is a nice ceremonial position of honor. A tarp will be brought up for interim shelter in the event of rain or snow (you never know) to keep everyone dry.
Flag and Pole: To be discussed further once additional people sign-up for this peak
Additional: More details to be discussed once additional people sign-up for this peak

CraigI went up on 8-18 to reconfirm everything. The outlined plan is fine.
The pole will be around 15 feet in length with a 3×5 or 4×6 flag.
