Troop 11 hosted Whiteface this year. After getting to the summit via Blueberry ledge tr from Ferncroft We doubled back and set up the flag at int of Blueberry ledge tr and Macgillis tr. A fine ledge and lookout but no view!
We brought along our 18 foot pvc flagpole with some new pieces to bring to 25 feet. One of my scouts slipped and one of the fitting hit rock and shattered. With the help of duct tape we managed to put up an 18 foot pole.
We met a group of students and instructors from a boarding High school, and a foursome af backpackers. All interested and thankful for the event.
