This hike is about great friends getting together to remember, support, honor and “Never Forget” . The crew showed up at Nineteen Mile Brook trail at 8:00, ready to rock. The first two miles of the trail are wonderful with the brook and width of the trail. You can hike and catch up at the same time. Near the hut the elevation starts to kick in and we start to remember why we are doing this. We walked into clouds above 3000 ft., as the elevation started to push us on. We were disappointed at the top with no views, but we raised the flag and remembered. People came by and we shared the story of the flags and passed out small flags for them to remember. Many appreciated the efforts made by all the teams. Every so often the clouds would move and we could see Carter Hut, but that was it for the view. We packed up, talked about next year and headed out. We met the crew from Carter Dome, admired their poles and chatted. The refreshments and food at the trailhead make a great ending to the day. Thanks to all for helping out. For all your support in honoring all the families of 9/11, our military and Captain Douglas DiCenzo, who was with us in spirit.
      God Bless. :flag:
