      Amy R (Bond) was planning on a three day hike culminating at Bond on Sat. I don’t know if the current weather changed her plans, but she may be out already.

        OK. So far we have:
        One cancellation.

        Meet at trailhead at about 7am?!?!?!?! (assumes 1 mile an hour on the way up) (5 miles up)

        Those of us shacking up in Franconia will have to leave at about 6am. (~50 miles to trail head)

        We can do the loop, start at either end, etc.

        The flag is ready, the pole is ready. We need a small camera, mine is too huge.

        Someone has to print out and bring the pdf thingy.

        Everyone needs headlights, just in case. The sun will set at 7:05pm, with (civil) twilight lasting until 7:34pm. If we leave the peak at 2 & get down in 4 hours – everything should be fine.

        I will check my numbers against the AMC guide’s numbers, when I get to my guide – currently in Franconia. If anyone has a copy handy, let me know what the estimated times are.

          pepsi wanted to switch with Owls Head, but I’ve got some students joining me, and they’ve already gotten pretty fired up for OH – signs around school – article in the Eagle-Tribune, finding waders for the stream crossings 🙂 etc. . . so I rained on his parade and stuck with OH for Chester Academy. I assume he still plans on Bondcliff, but can’t confirm.

            The more the merrier, we hope to see you there! I have never been on Waumbek and I am looking forward to it. We will be at the trailhead around 9am so if you would like to join our group we would be happy to have you along, baby and all.

                Thanks Frodo. It’s great to be part of this memorial you helped start in the aftermath of 9/11. We’ll have many things to lift a beer to at Mooseland.

                  Team Pokey was a little slow signing up this year! However, there is a new baby in the mix and this will be his first 4000 Footer. If all goes well we will see you at the top. Good Luck to you and all!!
