Thanks for the feedback Ken! We’ll keep that in mind as we plan out the future of the site.
in reply to: Planning Meeting Weekend? #53349YES! They just called me back and we’re all set for June 2. They told me that June 2 is just as slow as May 19, so there shouldn’t be a problem. They’ll earmark an area for us and anyone that calls should just let them know that they’re with the Flags on the 48 group and they’ll put us all together.
Is now a bad time to tell everyone that I can’t make it on June 2? 🙂 The meeting must go on, June 2 is the best time for the most people.
in reply to: Planning Meeting Weekend? #53346They had to drop off and call me back. I haven’t heard back from them yet. I guess someone more important needed to make a decision.
in reply to: Planning Meeting Weekend? #53344I’m actually on the phone with them right now! I’ll update ASAP

Peace.
Really? I’m talking about the one on Mars…
😆Anyone else have thoughts on the planning meeting? I’m thinking May 19th is the right date. We can shoot for 7:00 PM or whenever SilentCal gets there…
in reply to: Planning Meeting Weekend? #53337You know Brian, that you’re just setting yourself up!
in reply to: Planning Meeting Weekend? #53334Dare I suggest we consider the first weekend in June (June 2)? Or will we run into issues with the KOA having space, being willing to give us a chunk of sites together?
in reply to: Planning Meeting Weekend? #53331Yeah, we can’t do it on Mother’s Day weekend. Looks like it will have to be the 19th.
in reply to: Planning Meeting Weekend? #53328I vote for May 12.
in reply to: Ideas for 2007 FOT48 #53266There are some difficulties with opening registrations much earlier (if anyone is interested in what they are, PM me). Now if this has been covered and I’ve forgotten, please feel free to correct me, but why can’t the scout troops plan on attending the event, then have one of the leaders sign up when registrations open? Can’t the troops plan on attending without knowing what specific peak they’ll be climbing? Or do you all need to get permission slips with specific locations (like where you’ll be staying) before you can plan the event?
In general, I’m inclined to shy away from the pre-registration idea because it is inherently unfair to give anyone early access to their choice of peaks, however I do want everyone to be able to participate in the event and the scouts do have special needs here. If we can get the specifics of those needs figured out, hopefully we can find the solution.
in reply to: Photos Needed: 0! All photos in Gallery! #53006All the peaks were covered, the PCs from Madison and Passaconaway have some challenges they’re overcoming. They should be up soon…

2.) Web adjustments to the Gallery should be made in enough time prior to the event, so that folks can have as easy and quick a time as possible in uploading pics post event.
SJ, our challenges with the Gallery were related to a bug in the code, not any lack of forethought. There is a new version that fixes the bug that will eliminate any further problems with permissions. And with that in mind, there is a newer version of phpBB that is in Beta right now, which I anticipate we’ll incorporate here once it’s stable. The newer version may eliminate the need for the Gallery because you can post photos right in your thread. We evaluate it and keep everyone informed.
Thanks for posting your thoughts!
:beer:in reply to: UPDATED: How to post 2006 FOT48 Images #51728I just checked the Gallery web site and there’s a newer version out there, which I’ll install ASAP. Guess what one of the major bug fixes was? You guessed it, broken permissions administration!
EDIT: The upgrade is done, we should see no more problems with permissions.
in reply to: UPDATED: How to post 2006 FOT48 Images #51727Hmmmm, the permissions are set correctly on the N Tripyramid folder. Are you logged in? Please give it a shot again and let us know if it’s still a problem. If it is, then I may just have you send your pics to me and I’ll post them, but you should be able to upload them…
