in reply to: Thank You mail #51920
Mooseland needs many huge thank you’s as well.
:flag:
I am most certain all of the FOT48 people were extremely patient and well mannered while hanging out at Mooseland. 😀
But as far as I know the FOT48 groups have converged on Mooseland two years in a row,
without much warning, with out a thank you, after the fact, for putting up with everyone??? 😮
Hummm???in reply to: Thank You mail #51918Jay man you rock!!
:flag:
Now others might send one too.
😀in reply to: Thank You mail #51915Well… I wasn’t at Broken Branch Saturday before the hike.
😉
I think all the people that were there Saturday
night should each write a brief thank you e-mail.
:flag: :flag:
I am working on one to go to the
AMC with regards to Cody and how
well he took care of the camp and all
the hikers.
😀 😀
It would be in our best interest to develop good
relationships with the places we will
be desending on in great numbers each year…
that way they will look forward to seeing us and playing a
vital role in the FOT48 event.
:flag: 😀
just thinking
dirt_girlNice report Buddy!
I must admit, I was just a tiny be jealous not to be at Broken Branch on Saturday night
but the pay off was meeting some of the delightful FOT48 tribe at Guyot.

I think Broken Branch as a yearly pre/middle/post get together is an awesome idea.
The campground owners and employees have been very receptive to our cause and generous to our people. The planning meeting is when???!!

SilentCal… your nose should be growing by leaps and bounds!!!
With a face like a road map and a small portion of active grey matter remaining I must assume
that 21 would be in reference to my yootful like personality and my sud-swizzeling abilities!!!

Or could it be that I’m 21 feet tall and 21 feet across… 😮
Or that I’m good looking from 21 feet away?! 😉
Could it be my current I.Q.??! 💡

in reply to: A generational thing #51550Very very cool wardsgirl! Welcome and thanks for participating.
So far as I can tell, Ethan may be the youngest hiker this year. :flag: :flag:
Frodo’s girl hiked last year and this year as well, I think is oly 12. :flag: :flag:
What a great thing to encourage the young ones to do!!
Youngest participant, so far this year… probably Matthew.
:flag: :flag:
Besides the incredibly ancient Magic 🙄 I’ve noticed a strange silence among the senior hikers…. hummm?
I plan on being loud and proud when I am pushing 60, 70 or even 80 and still hiking the Whites.
Peace

I was immpressed that you are so young yet have so much determination, passion, curiousity, and vision.Your spirit is good and your ideas seek to honor. Be proud of what you have and will continue to accomplish.
I was delighted to hang out with you and your happy band of hikers.

in reply to: Zealand… a long trip… a long report #51826I thought the good peeps on Owls Head had a flag above the tree tops this year!?!?!?
As well as some flags having been seen from some of the other treed in summits!?!?!
:flag: :flag: :flag: :flag: :flag:However… I would definately be game for another multi-day, multi-peak hike next year.

What a treat to finally meet you
and the rest (Sarah and Lendawg) of your happy crew.
You are all such delightful people!!
Thank you so much for watching out
for us, very cool of you!!!
I drifted off to sleep with the sweet sounds
of you and Sarah whispering and giggling.
I apparently missed the flatuation action
until morning… 😮I absolutely must agree about the humbling
effect or the Guyot-Bond ridgeline. This trip
was my first time over the Bonds to Zealand…
quite impressive, breathtaking and without a
doubt, spiritual.dirt_girl
