in reply to: How to Post Photos 2018 #63892
My pictures for Cannon were upright on my computer, but on the website they need to be rotated. Can’t seem to figure out how to do that.
in reply to: Cannon route??? #55714Hello ahudnall,
I’m not the coordinator, but I’ll see you on Cannon. Our family is taking the tram up this year, probably arriving at the platform around 11:15. There is usually have a mix of hikers and “trammers” on Cannon. I will be bringing a poster with photos of past FOT48 events, so say hi when you get there.
Looking forward to blue skies and a light wind!
in reply to: 2013 Thank you #55530And thanks to all of you! I’m sure it’s not always easy. Special thanks to Chris this year for revamping the site. From a user prospective, it’s terrific.
Happy trails and we’ll see you next year!
in reply to: Cannon Mt. #55536A big thank you to Cathy and Mark for bringing the flag and a super rigging which stood strong against the wind.
We had at least fifteen people who stayed at the summit for the two hours the flag was up – pretty impressive given the weather. All in all, it was a great remembrance on Cannon.
Hope we see some of you on the trails in the coming year!
in reply to: Cannon Mt. #55344Despite the pea soup fog and the WIND, we had a great 9/11 remembrance today.
It began at 10AM with a ceremony organized by the Combat Vets group in the tramway building.
It continued at noon with our FOT48 group. Thanks to Cathy and her friends we had flags, we had the Star Spangled Banner, the pledge of allegiance, and some heartfelt remarks.
Thank you all and I hope to see you again on the trails.
in reply to: Cannon hiking route #55293Thanks, Tim, for the heads up. Us “trammers” will head up extra early. Nice that the group is doing their own Sept 11 memorial.
in reply to: Cannon hiking route #55290Hello Cannon hikers!
I will bringing up a poster of past FOT48 events that I have used for the last several years. I’ll be updating the pictures to include some of those great shots taken from the helicopter last year.
Sorry to say, I won’t be hiking this year, but will be taking the tram. For anyone else who’s not able to hike, consider using the tram to participate. Cannon is a great peak!
See you all at the top.
in reply to: Helicopter photos #55097Thanks so much for the link, the photos are awesome!
And thanks to whoever was responsible for the helicopter. It was a real highlight of our day on Cannon.
Thank you, SilentCal, for sharing your personal story with us. It makes our day on Cannon all the more meaningful. We wish you and your wife all the best.
My husband and I have participated in this event for 8 years now. You and the other Steering Committee members are the heart and soul of Flags. Thanks to you all for the hard work year after year. Great job!!
Now to attempt posting some pictures. Stand by Chris.
See you all next year,
Peace.Hello SilentCal and Team Cannon,
My bad knees and I will be taking the tram this year. I will be bringing up a poster that I have used for the past several years, including last year on Pierce. It has pictures of flags raised on different summits for prior FOT48 events.
Looking forward to a great 10 year anniversary remembrance!
