I can’t read either Mari’s from the Nashua telegraph or Alpinista’s at Boston.com, Geesh. The pages have been moved or no longer exist. Hope someone photocopied them and will post.
This article is an excerpt from Lisa’s AP story:

However I still suggest (and this may already be playing into Frodo’s thinking) that we avoid passing money around without this shelter in place. It only takes one disgruntled person to complain to the media and/or the IRS that money is changing hands and a whole lotta bad PR comes down.
Yes. Agreed. I’d rather keep discussions of donations, etc. off the boards as well, please.

Shutterfly.com charges 15.99 for a single custom calendar, and will send a quote for orders 50 or over.
I’ve seen calendars from them and they are very nice. Obviously, it all depends on the resolution of the image so we should be sure that images we choose are high res. The Gallery sizes pics down to 800 pixels wide, but if you click on the pic again it will load it in its native size. Perhaps we can contact the providers of the pics to acquire the highest res image possible.

@VO Help Desk wrote:Domain Parking
We host the Web page for a non-profit event, Flags on the 48 – http://flags.alpinezone.com/The size of the site is less than 1 MB. If we were to register a domain name for the event, i.e. flagsonthe48.org, would we be able to park that domain name and point it to our subdomain?

16-9-2003-07:14 A.M.Hello,
Unfortunately domain parking is not allowed on subdomains. If you wanted to use a new domain for a new site, you’d need to purchase another hosting account, probably a V20 would work.
Let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Regards,
Zach Weber
VenturesOnline.comLooks like we would need a separate hosting account if we were to use my host… 🙁 I don’t have a problem at all continuing to host it under flags.alpinezone.com if that works for everybody.
the8re – looks like mydomain.com can do redirects:
http://mydomain.com/services/mydomain/webforwarding
Ever use that?

for a wonderful story on Elizabeth Kovalcin, the story is titled “Leaning Forward”.
I think you need to be a subscriber to see it. Can someone post the text to the article here? Is that okay to do?

From atop the peak, I dictated some information and quotes to the AP. At the Mooseland later that night, I was lucky enough to have run into Gail Linehan, who graciously agreed to be interviewed for the article. I hope the story did this day justice.
I thought the AP article was great! My only suggestion would have been to include the Flags on the 48 Web address so people could easily find all the images from the event. It was a very well-written article though. For those that haven’t read the article yet, CLICK HERE.
in reply to: Domain Name #49095Okay. I have a ticket in with my host’s help desk asking whether we can park a domain name and point it to a subdomain on AlpineZone.com’s site (i.e. flags.alpinezone.com). Something is telling me that they’re going to say we need a hosting account, but since the Flags site is less than 1 MB, I thought I’d ask. I know they park domains that point to the top level domain (i.e. alpinezone.com), but I want it to go right to the Flags site. We shall see.

I can get you that domain for $8.50 a year.

Why the hell is Register.com charging $70?!
