Greg just got back from North Kinsman. It was a great day very clear to start with, about 1PM or a little after light clouds obscured the summits. We could seeflags on South Kinsman, Cannon, lafayette and lincoln. Thanks again for your work and making your website available.
Cool! Any pics?
in reply to: 45 minutes away… #490212 PM. Hope everyone was able to get their flags raised! Let’s get the pics ready! Looks like the weather was absolutely perfect:
in reply to: Anybody going solo? #48999She is. Thanks Ped. And I hope you get better soon. Interesting to see how dead the forums are today (makes sense). I’m sure there will be a lot of activity though in the coming days!
in reply to: Anybody going solo? #48997Hey Ped. 7 PM the night before and we’re the only ones on the forums… 🙄
How’s the flu doing?
in reply to: I’m out. :( #48993Hi all – thought I’d post an update…
Well, I’d love to be camping in the Pemi right now, but seeing Abby chow down on a bowl of rice cereal and bananas this morning, bottles throughout the day, and oatmeal and peas for dinner has made staying home worth it. She is doing much, much better. Happy, smiling, and laughing like an 8 month old should. Diarrhea is done and she hasn’t vomited in 2 1/2 days, so we’re on the mend.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow. I really wish I could participate, but, hey, there’s always next year, right?! Have a safe hike everyone! 8)
in reply to: Start the "Good Lucks" rolling… #49019Good luck to everyone. I really wish I could be there. Thanks to everyone participating!
in reply to: Good luck everyone! #49008Well said, Bob. Well said.

I heard a rumor of a Good Morning America mention this morning as well. Can anyone confirm?
Yup!

It was on in the background and I had to do a double-take. They had video of the Presidentials and everything!
in reply to: I’m out. :( #48990Thanks everybody. Well, this evening we spent 5+ hours in the hospital. Abby needed an IV to help with dehydration. We just got home. At least we weren’t there for days as they intially said. Anyway, if anything it really solidified my decision. Thanks again for all the support and kind words…it is appreciated! I’ll be thinking about you all on Saturday.

Greg: I remember what it was like to have a sick baby – its easier to be sick yourself. I hope she’s better soon. Somehow its harder when your child can’t talk to you about what (s)he’s feeling and probably can’t understand.
You ain’t kidding. 😥
in reply to: Thank you, Alphazone.com!!! #48922We’re up to 242 redirects. Thanks again the8re!

I’m iffy for North Twin. I’m home with flu and fever today. Since there are lots of uncovered peaks, I won’t even consider trying to gret someone to back me up. There’s a good chance I’ll make it.
I’m in a similar situation. My daughter has been vomiting and has had diarrhea since last Thursday – nothing will break your heart more than seeing an 8 month old dry heave… 😥
Today and tomorrow will be the key days. If she’s still showing improvment, I’ll go. Otherwise we’re out for Garfield. As of now, it’s a go and I’m planning and packing for it, but I won’t really know until tomorrow.
in reply to: 12 more peaks to cover (2003) #48962I know. Even if someone wanted to drive it – to at least have a flag up there. I didn’t see any pics from George last year so I’m not sure if there was one raised then either… 😕
