in reply to: Peak Traffic #54737Yeah….
What he said.
It was a “perfect” day this past Saturday (weather wise). Of course there are going to be crowds. From my observations, there were way more people hiking that didn’t know about FOT48, then the actual number that particpated in FOT48.
……
Peace
in reply to: Peak Traffic #54734Sign ups are limited to 10 for any given peak.
FOT48 encourages LNT as evident by the standard of 10 for group size.We also encourage the use of different trails, staggered start times, etc..

in reply to: Confirmation: Post Here #54717Awesome job…well done…everyone.
I think I speak for all saying this our #2 goal.
#1….just getting out there…no matter how many the peaks…and remembering that day.
BUT….it’s awesome to know 48 different crews continue to feel the same way. :flag:
Now…pictures. Perhaps a different thread. 😛
Peace.

in reply to: 2010: Dates to remember #54399Just an aside, I usually stay out of flag “etiquette ” conversations. And I really hate it when people “stay out” of things then post anyways. 😆
Flags are flown all the time at night. A great example are graveyards during holidays. The grave flags are considered flown, and not lit.
The other example I can think of is the moon.
Up early this am.
