Joe, how did you get 2012 to show up in your signature?? It seems a lot of people can’t do it.
I had to hand type it. Still can’t get it to show my last signature I set.

I’ve uploaded the pix from our flight to all their respective folders in the gallery. Thanks again for the amazing experience!
Thanks so much for that, and what you do on the job.:flag: You guys made the day for us. 😀

in reply to: Flying the Flags at Half Staff #54755I plan on adding the black ribbon to symbolize half staff as it is falling on the date. It’s a pretty simple thing to do really. A black ribbon as wide as one of the stripes and as long as the flag. Any local craft, or fabric store should have it.
Have a great day of remembrance tomorrow. :flag:
in reply to: North Kinsman #54849Meet-up will be in the Lafayette Place lot LL trail head at 8:00am. I will have everything needed for the flag.
in reply to: Flying the Flags at Half Staff #54749Adding a black ribbon to the top of the pole would be simple and it sounds like it’s acceptable.
in reply to: Wildcat Mt web site #54680Well, when the event falls on the 11th we could do this. Or just do it every year.
Some flags, like the ones commonly seen in school classrooms or on houses, are fixed in a certain position on their poles. How does one handle the sticky situation of a flag that physically can’t be flown at half-staff? The United States Code doesn’t cover this conundrum, but the American Legion advocates adding a black ribbon to the top of the flag’s pole to indicate mourning.
