Wow. That’s just tremendous. Thanks for the pictures, everyone who captured these shots!
in reply to: Gallery & Front Page Photo issues #51739Thanks for your help, Greg!!!
in reply to: Need some help #51484It’s not that it meant the peak was not covered; we just get a little nervous when we don’t have any followup communication after the initial signup. Obviously with your group it’s because you’ve done this before and have everything all set and ready to go, but there’s always the chance it’s someone who signed up and then forgot.
In the future, we’ll make it more clear that in the weeks leading up to the event we would like all the peak coordinators to please post final trip plans. It helps us, and it helps people out who sign up at the last minute, after any initial group coordination has gone on.
Thanks for your continued participation!
🙂in reply to: I broke my digital camera so… #51670The new Rebel XT (the 350D) is a SWEET improvement over the existing Rebel. It is worth it to pay for one of those instead of getting a cheaper, discontinued 300D like I have.
Thanks for posting, Jen!
🙂If you haven’t already, please read the newsletter as well.
in reply to: I broke my digital camera so… #51668Ayup. Canon Rebel. I don’t have the best lenses in the world, but I’ll get some good glass for it eventually. 🙂
in reply to: I broke my digital camera so… #51666I’m shooting in RAW so I’ll have to process them myself, but anyone else should consider doing this.
in reply to: I broke my digital camera so… #51664I’ll do what I can, but it’ll be a short week for me as I head up next Thursday for a long weekend in Vermont, so you might have to wait until after the 18th for my shots as well.
in reply to: KOA Broken Branch Sat 9/10 #51438Hope to see you there, TrekMan. There will be grills, ‘cuz I’m counting on somebody having one there to use to cook dinner, and I’ll be *hungry*.
🙂in reply to: Film Crews on Sunday #51619Nah, it’s crap, but I can’t afford any of the lenses I really want. 🙁
Thank you so much for stepping in at the last minute to take this peak!
If you haven’t already, be sure to read the newsletter.
:flag:in reply to: KOA Broken Branch Sat 9/10 #51433Excellent – thanks for confirming all that, Jay.
And I agree – if they charge the day use fee for visitors and that’s a hardship for anyone, I’ll chip in and cover.
I’ll be there between 3 and 4pm – Bunchberry and I will be doing a hike that afternoon on our way up. I may not make it to the scouts with SilentCal but that’s okay.
in reply to: KOA Broken Branch Sat 9/10 #51428Oh, the answer to your first question is yes, just show up and pay there (see first post in this thread). To the Highland Center it should be about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes; it’s around 35 miles.
