Mari – Pilgrim from over on VFTT had agreed to take over but I’m sure would appreciate some help. Perhaps you could coordinate?

I posted on VFTT, but need to get offline now before my boss kills me. 🙂

Essentially the same, just laid out nicely and slightly word-edited to fit. Hey Chris … where’d you put the link?

If you have an extra 15 minutes, I *highly* recommend doing the blue leg and poking your head up on top of Mt. Avalon. The views from there are stunning and it’s also a lovely patch of forest between Avalon and Willey.

80’s? For northern NH in September that’s a downright heat wave!

Remember that around my tent is a “no snoring” zone. 😉

Dave – I’ll be at the KOA midafternoon on Friday. I’m not sure how early it’s actually okay with the campground for me to arrive, but I’ll be there from whatever that time is, onward throughout the evening.

It’s a great mountain for flying a flag. Be sure to check out the gallery, especially 2004, to see the odd setup with the walls from the old fire tower, if you haven’t been there before.

A link to US Flag Etiquette. For those who choose to take the extra ceremonial step, how to fold the flag.

Good to see that G.O. and Dr. D. are joining you – you’ll have a great hike! I hope Garret’s friend with the clarinet makes it, too.

                              Wear more than that Brian!

Don’t forget that the trailhead is actually down Gale River Road. Make sure you take the correct branch of the road (it’s a loop; you want the southern entrance) and I think you have to make a right turn, too.

Once all the images are up in the gallery, I may even make a slideshow out of the entire thing and put it on a DVD. If I can figure out how, I can have a hi-res for the computer and low-res for the TV, but no promises. 🙂
