I may have mentioned this route to you last Fall. If we meet at the Basin parking lot on the northbound side of I-93 we can save about 1.5 mile and a good hour. I know a shortcut extremely well. In fact I hiked Liberty last night with hikerfast. Nice way to watch the sunset!

For example, tonight I wrote to the Mt Liberty peak coordinater:

        <<Hi Cathy,

We should start a thread on our selected mountain. I will show the group a very nice and easy shortcut that saves time, mileage, and effort.

Let’s discuss the flag pole set-up, meeting time, and other particulars.

Looking forward to a great day,
        Magic>>

I sent this via private message and received a dialog box with the words: “the user does not exist.”

We should be able to communicate easily. See my point?!

        With all good wishes,

Wow! Since living in the North Country for 22 years, I’ve stopped in at Truant’s but have not had a burger there yet. Time to have one, or two. Great idea Trekman!

Let’s see, a few helium filled balloons filled at Market Basket, Shaws, etc., a hank of thin rope, a 5′ x 7′ flag. Yes, it’ll work fine. All ideas are good!

I’m certain others just might be in the same boat. Great question, I too, await the answer.

I’m giving up Cabot to a dedicated Scout group whom I’m certain will never forget Unknown Pond and this whole experience. How wonderful!

We sign up for a peak in a few minutes. Another powerful flag event is about to happen. Looking so forward to this!!

There are two viewpoints on Tom. At the “true” summit, you look at the Pemi and the Twins. At the other side, up towards the Presidentials.

What about the view from the top or the cairn?! You must have posted this here when you meant to post it on another site. Are you thinking of unadogger, again!
                                😀

After thinking it over for months, I still like the KOA + camping afterwards.

I vote we have a major post event gathering at the KOA.

I second that motion, suggest up to a 300 person limit. This will be the best year yet. You will see! Woo-hoo, right on brothers and sisters!!
