Sorry Trekman, here’s what you have to do:
Make sure you’re logged in to the Forums
Click over to the Gallery and click on the Title of your peak
There will be a drop down on the right side of the page, just drop down to Add Photos
There will be a popup the gives you a couple options, it’s probably best to choose the Form upload
Upload your pics and give each a caption if you like!WHAT?!
Ok… I’m logged in…
I click on 2006 Flags on the 48 – I’m now IN the Album and on Page 1
I click on the 4 because I know thats where my peak is.. and when I see it..
I click on Owls Head 2006.
(Note: there is a drop down menu BELOW my peaks album name on page 4. There is NO option here to add pics.)
Now on my Owls Head Album page.. there is NO drop down menu on the right just a drop down under photo’s all ready added (photos which I did not move to this album) and when I click MOVE on pictures I uploaded.. it says I cannot move them.WTH IS GOING ON!!!!!!
in reply to: Photos Needed: 0! All photos in Gallery! #52990PLEASE REMEMBER
That if you have photos of ANOTHER peak… you can certainly upload your photo of that peak into the peaks folder.
FOR INSTANCE…
If you were on Lafayette and took a picture of the flag on Garfield… you can take the Garfield picture and upload it into the Garfield photo album.

6:27 AMAlthough a ridge of high pressure will be sliding to the east today, there is plenty of low level moisture and slight instability to keep the summit in the clouds for portions of the day. The greatest chance for clearing will be in the afternoon but even that may be a stretch since moist air from the southwest will begin to well up. Overnight, the summit will again become foggy as the next front moves towards the summit. Some showers could begin as early as dawn with rain showers continuing to develop through the day. The bulk of the energy should pass during the afternoon/evening with a possible thunderstorm popping up around that time as well.

Last year I drilled 2 holes in my PVC pipe… one where each grommit of the flag would be. Then just ran a bolt through the hole and grommit and tightened it with a wing nut.

I am an Assistant Scoutmaster myself, and you just made the scheduling process sound MORE difficult than it actually is.
What you and your troop have planned is a WEEKEND long event… I assume your camping with this being the main project of your campout. However.. EVERY peak that the scouts of acquired in this years event (and in years past) is a day hike for ALL of the boys in your troop.
Yes… Scout camping weekends do indeed take some time in planning. HOWEVER.. if your troop wished to make it an available day hike activity for your troop… all you need is 2 weeks. 1 week is to hand out your permission slips and acquire a tour permit.. the other week to have the boys bring the permission slips back.
As an assistant scoutmaster and former scout… I STRONGLY AGREE that the scouts should NOT take precedent over others wishing to participate and they should also have to wait to sign up just like everyone else. ONLY because this event can be a day hike just as much as it is monthly campout. Yes.. I know the next argument… “but we live in Massachusetts.” I guess leaving earlier is in the solution.
I am also against any type of lottery system or pre-registration due to the implications of Favortism.
I do however… agree that certain peaks should be reserved for those whom are disabled. “Easy Access”
