            One thing we need to work on is getting members of an assigned peak to communicate with each other. Maybe the confirmation page that is e-mailed once you sign up could be tweaked to provide links to other hikers on your peak, your trip route posting for your peak and your gallery album for posting photos. Having all those links on one e-mail might save us a lot of time with answering e-mails.

            By the way, Next year’s Flags on the 48 is on Saturday September 13th 2008. I wonder where Jimmy Buffett is playing that day?

                  Great Idea Pedxing. If some people are not hikers, let us know a little early next year and we can your group up for a peak with alternate access like Cannon, Washington or Wildcat D.

                    24 peak photos out of 48.

                    Mine will be awhile before I get to post them.

                    I got a video that will be going on youtube to show just how windy it was on Jefferson.

                      We are simply looking for a photo of the flag at the summit. Pictures of the hiking group are optional but welcomed and encouraged.

                      Bring an extra ziploc bag along in case it rains. We would not like to see anyone damage their cameras from the rain.

                          S. Carter is not covered, but we do have some folks that are willing to cover some peaks at the last minute. Hopefully, we’ll get it figured out at the KOA tonight and get it done on Saturday.

                            I believe the tent/pavilion is open to all guests of the campground. I’m not 100% sure of that but they did not mind us using the grill that was over in that area last year.

                              Certainly keep an eye on the weather. If thunderstorms are prevalant, Please no one risk your safety flying the flag. Get down off the summits if you feel that is the safest course of action.
