We’ll be needing help on North Twin and Field now.
Welcome Science Teacher!

My fiancee and I really love the place. Always clean and the owners are very friendly. Cabins 1 and 8 are good if you have a good sized group.
I do plan on stopping by the KOA on Friday and Saturday.
in reply to: 2007 Signup Stats #53709We still have several peaks left. Is there anyone out there who can help us with these:
Owl’s Head
South Carter
Wildcat Din reply to: Read off the Names #53816Yes, we have discussed this before. I think it would be difficult to get the names out to everyone. Everyone does something a little different. I know of people who have printed out all the names and carried them up in a folder. People have left personal journals for people to sign and leaves their thoughts. Some people stop their hikes at certain times that the planes crashed and the towers fell. Because everyone is coming from all over New England, I think it’s better left to the group and individual as what they would like to do. Too many rules would not be a good thing. Of course, the steering committee could overrule me too. :flag:
Welcome Sno Gabe! Thanks for the idea!
in reply to: Jefferson 2007 #53670Book Time states 2 hours and 35 minutes to get up Caps Ridge. I’ll be at the Trailhead between 8:30 and 8:45 and looking at a start time of 9:00. Some of our group are brisk hikers and the slow ones intend to fill their packs with cement so they slow down.
in reply to: How many do you think?? #53773We’ve been growing year by year. That I am quite sure of. There are a lot of names that I see that have signed up for peaks for many years now. These people keep coming back year after year and I thank them for that. Word of mouth and general information about the event has really spread around as we had hoped and I would not be surprised to see 350 hikers this year. Keep in mind, many folks do not sign up but know the flags will be there and make it a point to stop by and say thanks.
