Yes, sign-ups are around the corner. For those that have been around awhile, understand that we’ve come a long way in terms of the sign-in process. Many thanks to the volunteers who are the brains behind this.

The people make this event go. We all hike our own peaks but we hike as one for the day. I just hope our luck of good weather keeps going.

Should anyone be having any issues with sign-ins on Monday, do not hesitate to send me an e-mail or PM. I’ll try to help you as much as I can.

Does it come with a “Look out for Low branches” alert warning? 😆 😆 😆

She is getting one cleverly designed pole. Thanks for sharing. :flag:

Good work! Lots of new faces at the meeting with some great input. It rained a lot, but that just means we get A+ weather for Flags Weekend :flag: . SJ mentioned to me afterwards that it’s very likely the A-10 came out of Barnes AFB in Westfield, Ma.. That would be awesome if we could get another flyover. For those who never saw it, he’s what it looked like from Mt Lincoln last year:

We need to get this movie on our own site.

Good Trip and a good meeting. Even with the lousy weather, we got a very good turnout with many new faces.

We all know what a lousy weekend weather wise for the planning meeting means…… :flag:

I’ll be there around 6-ish. I’m bringing the tarps I had last year. If you got room, bring your extra tarp Chris.

I got one tote of kindleing again. I don’t want to hear that we don’t need it either. I’m bringing the tote so I can have something to stand on for the meeting. The kindleing just so happens to fit in it nicely.

                    See you all this weekend.

Chris is correct. We have not had a dry planning weekend yet. The weatherman here said 50% chance of rain today , and it was sunny all day. I’m guessing we’ll just get passing showers if anything. Nothing prolonged like we’ve had the last couple of days.

I have two large tarps, maybe three. We’ll need tall people to set them up. This leaves me out. 🙄

Depends on just how much rain we get over the next few days. This may come down to a Friday night figure out. I may redline the Flume Slide trail and either come down Liberty Springs or Falling Waters. I may take it easy and go up Osceola from Tripoli Road. Cathie will not wish to go up the Flume slide if it’s very slick. Osceola has no stream crossings so that may be an option.

Sunday, I believe I am doing the Tripyramids from Livermore Road. Again weather will dictate whether I go the Slides or the Scaur Trail.

                        Sam Adams it is.

Good to see this ironed out. That’s a very good idea Jaytrek about the Thank You’s. We might want to let them know we are thinking about the campground as a post gathering place. Perhaps they can make some of the logistics a little easier for us.

I know of two campground review sites that I plan to post a review of our weekend. They are giving us lots of room and a great price.

Micheal, do you have any of the placards and business cards? We might as well leave one in the Mountain Wanderer after the weekend. Also, Mt Liberty Cabins said they would put one in their office for over the summer. Maybe one for the KOA as well?

I would suggest a good time to get some individual interviews would be our planning meeting on May 20th in Woodstock, New Hampshire. There’s lots of interesting stories to tell about the event. After the planning meeting, the night before the event, many folks will be in the Whites, possibly staying at the same place where our planning meeting is held. That would be another good time. I have no clue which peak I’m doing. I’m still waiting for that A-10 pilot to give me a lift…….

Attendee(s): Myself and Cathie for sure. Vicki, Tim, Tagalong, Sonic and Ladybug, will more than likely be there as well.

Arriving: I’ll be there Friday night around 7:00
Leaving: Sunday after hiking the Tripyramids

Really looking forward to it. :flag:

Our “island” does not have electricity.
💡 However, the sites where Chris parked his camper last year, do have power. I have 200 feet of extention cord. 💡
