in reply to: thanks administrators and moderators #51842
Thanks Ken. But my group can only take 1/48th of the credit. It’s the hikers that go out to the peaks that deserve the credit. This event has grown slowly but surely and hopefully it’s not an event that will be forgotten as time goes on.
in reply to: Early Report on the Documentary #51791Okay Once I find it. It’s buried on a cd somewhere. Do I put it under last years Monroe 2004
in reply to: Zealand… a long trip… a long report #51825Glad to see you guys enjoyed the “Magic Beans”. The Bonds are just plain magical.
Three cheers to Dirt Girl for taking the challenge of Mt. Zealand the past two years and putting a flag above the trees. Did I hear that Owl’s head was next on your to-do list? :flag:
in reply to: Early Report on the Documentary #51789I have a quicktime movie of the Star Spangled Banner being played on a clarinet on Monroe from last year. I don’t know how to upload it though.
in reply to: Post Event Location Suggestion #51730You do have a point Mr X.
With the Event moving back to a Saturday next year this is something that will need to be looked at. Woodstock Inn was nice but I’ve heard rumors that the Highland Games might be coming back to the Lincoln area. The KOA campground may also be a solution.
in reply to: Summit Journals #51783I know some folks keep them and add to them year after year which makes for a nice memento. The feedback you get from some folks is really touching.
in reply to: Officially "Unofficial" Post Trip Libations #51357Has anyone called the Mooseland? I know a lot of people will head home afterwards but many may just stop in for a quick bite.
in reply to: I broke my digital camera so… #51663Not to worry, mine will be late as well, I won’t get home to upload them until the 18th…..
in reply to: Washington (At Last!) #51620Thank You Periwinkle for taking this peak. I agree with your plan as the summit will be exceptionally crowded this weekend. Be sure to take some photos!
Thanks again
in reply to: Middle Carter Peak Coordinator #51380Thanks Patrick, for your help with the backup plan. It looks like it will not be needed after all. I hope you have a safe hike!
in reply to: I can’t believe this is happening! #51590Definately something we need to remedy at next year’s planning meeting. Thanks Jessbee for your patience with this.
in reply to: KOA Broken Branch Sat 9/10 #51435Awesome work Jaytrek. I’ll be stopping by to visit on Saturday night with my crew. I’ll bring a smaller grill than my usual one for anyone to use. It will be really good to see everyone!
in reply to: Last one to respond… #51645Pats, no worries, they will roll tonight!
I hope the weather is as good as it’s been the last couple days. Pemi Loop was fantastic! It’s nice to see everyone so pumped this year and so many new faces signing up. Should be a great event again.
I wanna know one thing….Who is bribing Mother Nature and how can I help :flag:
