Just a suggestion, but make sure your e-mail address is correct. I made the mistake of switching addresses and forgot to change the setting. Either that or your spam-filter is blocking it.
As for the West Bond cairn, I’m surprised at that, I wonder if the caretaker at Guyot could give you information on that one. And why just West Bond? Bond has a fair sized cairn on it and there are several around Bondcliff.
in reply to: Zealand Mountain #51170You forgot something, your Flag! :flag: . I may do an early morning run with you up the Wilderness Trail on Saturday.
in reply to: Passaconaway #51485Nice site! Be sure to get some photos to us. Passaconaway is one of those peaks that has been photo-shy over the years.
in reply to: Zealand Mountain #51168Awesome Dirt Girl!! Let me know if your hike-out plans change. Cathie’s looking forward to chatting with you again.
in reply to: Have a flag, would like to share a peak #51449Welcome Audrey and Pat! (congrats on your 115 by the way!! :flag: ) MichaelJ mentioned that you folks were interested. I believe that all of the peaks are accounted for at this time with Peak Coordinators. Perhaps by checking the 2005 Trips and Routes portion of the site, you may find someone that needs a Flag and be able to pair up with them. You’re welcome to come up Moosilauke with us, we will so far be flying two flags up there and would welcome a third. We have a flag with similar circumstances as yours and would be proud to fly your flag as well.
I hope this helps you out.
in reply to: Post Event #51441Welcome Hikerextreme! Trekman hit the nail on the head, Search out the threads and you’ll find out where people are staying, going to afterwards or before. Plus feel free to take part in the other dicussions, we are always looking for input from folks that are new to the event and the experiences they receive from it. Enjoy Mt. Willey and don’t forget the pictures!
in reply to: BONDCLIFF The Immaculate #51316Fat Guy, I know Dirt Girl from Zealand will be hiking into Guyot on Saturday from Lincoln Woods if you need someone to hike with. You can post under the Zealand peak if you wish to reach her.
in reply to: KOA Broken Branch Sat 9/10 #51415Thanks for coming through Jaytrek, I wish I could be there as I really liked that campground, but I made my reservations a year ahead of time at the place where I am staying. I’ll be bringing my grill there Saturday night for anyone to use. If the forecast is for rain they have a rather large canopy area near where we were staying for the planning meeting. I’ll bring a Billy Joel Cd for MichaelJ too.
in reply to: Officially "Unofficial" Post Trip Libations #51345I’m not sure where I’ll end up. Unlike Michael, I still have 9 days of vacation after Flags 😆 😆 😆 . It depends on the rest of my crew and how soon they wish to head home.
in reply to: Where is everyone staying??? #51299The KOA in Woodstock. The Link is here
http://www.brokenbranchcampground.com
They have the directions posted there. We are trying to plan a gathering there on saturday night. Some folks are already camping there. Details will follow shortly…..
in reply to: Peak Coordinators #51376see knew I should have said something sarcastic when I had the chance! 😉
Newsletters will still go out regardless. We’d like everyone on the same page. Get it!
in reply to: Status on Accessable peaks? #51340Cannon is spoken for. Stephen confirmed it this morning. He will try to update the site by this weekend. We have someone who would like to do one of those peaks, Just not sure which one. At the most this weekend, we will have only one peak that needs coverage. We do have several on-call persons but would not mind if someone came up to the plate and took the last peak. It would be either Washington or Wildcat D. Right now I am more worried about last minute dropouts.
in reply to: Peak Coordinators #51373I can put this in the newsletter going out to all the persons who have signed up. I can explain that the persons in the first column under Primary Contact are the Peak Coordinators and responsible for the Flag getting to the summit, being flown, and getting pictures posted to the site. I will also strongly encourage the PC’s to post in the Trips and Routes section of the site so that they can coordinate with the rest of the group. “other hikers” will be asked to check the Trips and Routes to know the trailhead info and anything that needs to be brought.
Does this sounds okay?I’m surprised Lisa (alpinista) is not hiking Lincoln to join her Yankee brethren….. 😉
Great to see you going with your daughter again Frodo. I can’t wait until my nephews are old enough. I take it the orginal Liberty Pole will still be in use. if it is that’s AWESOME! :flag:
in reply to: Peak Coordinators #51369I see what you are saying now. The wording is a little tricky and I guess you could interpret it that way. If they look at the sign-up page first, i guess they would see who has co-ordinators and which peaks have open spots.
Does anyone else read this that particular way?
