We’ll start off from the Nineteen Mile Brook Trailhead (just North of the Mt. Washington Auto Road on NH16) and head up Nineteen Mile Brook Trail to Carter Notch (perhaps a pit stop at Carter Notch Hut?) and from there the Carter-Moriah Trail to the summit of Carter Dome. On the way back we’ll be descending via Carter Dome Trail back down Nineteen Mile Brook trail to the trailhead (According to the White Mountain Guide: 10.2 Mi total with 3,600 ft. of elevation gain and a book time of 6hr. and 55 min). It should take us around 4 hours or so to get to the summit (4hr. 15 min according to the WMG) – so we should shoot to be on the trail by 6:30 – 6:45 A.M. in order to have plenty of time to get the flag pole and flag up for the Noon start time. So, make sure you arrive earlier enough to be ready to step off by this time.
