All future publicty discussions will be in the Publicity forum:
in reply to: Privacy Statement #49560E-mail addresses will not be displayed, except when administrators view the list, and only after entering in a password.
The list does not exist in an HTML file. It is accessed via hypertext preprocessor (i.e., PHP) thus the information is unavailable to spiders and crawlers.

If anyone is anxious to apply the new FOT48 template to the forum before the official site re-launch, feel free to change the Board Style from “subSilver” to “fot48” in your profile. It’ll probably be good to test it live to see if it renders okay for everybody.
Maybe I’m spoiled from the forum being fullscreen, but it feels “squished” now.
in reply to: Agenda for get-together #49315Yup, I’m on it.

in reply to: Site Redesign/Registration forms #49496in reply to: Site Redesign/Registration forms #49494I KNOW that I am looking forward to spending time recruiting and promoting rather than processing registrations. I’m sure Greg feels the same about updating the peaks list.
I think we’ve got a GREAT shot at 100%. Look how far we’ve come already:
1) Dedicated forums :argue:
2) Cleaner web design :flag:
3) Automated registrations -Stephen

Any other comments on the new site design? Please be brutally honest. 🙂
I find the dark red on dark blue column headers is tough to read.

in reply to: Site Redesign/Registration forms #49488Apparently confirmation e-mails are not getting through to comcast accounts. I’m not getting a bounce on it, so there’s probably a missing field. I will investigate.

in reply to: Press Releases #49512I would like to suggest we have a press release ready to go out next Wednesday (June 30) announcing the official kickoff for the 2004 FOT48. It will include, aside from the basic description of the event, the registration information and the history.

in reply to: Site Redesign/Registration forms #49484All meeting participants (and anyone else who cares):
Please visit the sample registration site at:
https://www.flagsonthe48.org/signup04.php
NOTE: This is only a demo of the registration, this is not the ACTUAL 2004 FOT48 registration.
Please try registering and then view the peaks list. Post any feedback you may have. Thanks.

in reply to: Site Redesign/Registration forms #49483Three changes I’ve made:
1) Remain Anonymous is now a drop down of Yes or No. Makes the choice a little more explicit. Plus it’s easier to carry over the setting in case they have to re-enter information. (Defaults to No)
2) Added an Opt-in message “May we e-mail you about future FOT48 events?” Again with the same Yes/No dropdown box. (Defaults to Yes)
3) Added City and State to the form. Optional entries.
