I tried posting a picture and cannot see from directions of past years how to select Flume to add photos. Others uploaded seem also not to be within their peak categories. I don’t want to go through this process until it appears it’s working right.

We got a 100-foot parachute line at EMS last year for I think about $5-6. Will have one more this year and it’s light, strong and compact.

We have used a simple stainless hose clamp with a small loop of nylon through the grommets – works great and easy to carry. With several helpers, getting the flag raised without the flag touching the ground is fairly easy.

FYI … I live in Suffield CT and can get to Crawford Notch in under 4 hours. Not sure where in CT you are coming from.

Well, Dirt, Fiddlehead and I taste-tested the “Blueberry Flume” and have decided that it’s most excellent! I look forward to sharing.

Thanks to my daughter, I encouraged her to enter the VT vote. She will actually be there with her husband too, maybe she should vote again?

                    Hiya,
We did Moriah last year and took Stony Brook up and Carter Moriah down. Worked very nice but of course requires two cars. Have a good trip this year.

TrekMan – that must be some kind of breakfast for Dirt to travel to CT for! I don’t think backtracking for breakfast counts as actual miles. However, you travel a respectable distance, grasshoppers.
                      😮 😀

D-G … when Dirt and I cook it is always worth a 15-minute drive. Remember that we have bottled a homebrew (Blueberry Flume) and plan to drag the growlers with us to KOA. We will test the batch soon to see how it came out.

I have a special treat, for those who like beer anyway (MtnMagic comes to mind) for after the hike. Dirt and I bottled a few growlers of what we decided to call “Blueberry Flume” last Sunday. I have not tried it yet, but plan to bring it to KOA for the weekend celebrations. It’s a red ale with some blueberry extract added at bottling. Should be good cold!!

Oh, except the A-10 video. We have a link to it, but it’s served off someone else’s site.

Keep in mind that if any reporter wants to use an image out of the galleries we’ll have to contact the original photographer for permission.

I have a copy of the A-10 video … want something from it? Need to ask about using it? Let me know via p.m.

Dirt and I travel about 220 from north central CT – he is actually in MA but comes for breakfast before leaving town! 😀

Team Flume will also be watching the Owl’s Head Team to see their display. I am sure it will be good as the challenge is known!

                                  … P.S. 6×10 flag was only about $50.

Where did you find a flag that big for only $50?

That’s the place I got it Chris, I forget what the shipping was. Good flag though and it flew well in a small breeze. Check Moriah pics from last year.
